PACCAR Australia and CJD Equipment - a powerful new partnership in Tasmania.

PACCAR Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of CJD Equipment as Dealer in Launceston and Hobart for Kenworth and DAF, effective January 1 2008.

CJD Equipment is a privately owned Australian company, with a focus and commitment to the transport, construction and forestry industries. Celebrating a history spanning 33 years in the industry, with 23 years as a dedicated Kenworth dealer, it is already well known and respected for its focus and professionalism.

“It’s an important appointment that provides many benefits for Tasmanian customers”, said Andrew Hadjikakou, Director Sales and Marketing for PACCAR Australia.

 “ We have a great relationship with CJD in Western Australia, who are the current Kenworth Dealer of the Year, and their commitment to Tasmania is obvious in the quality of their sales, parts and service facilities and experienced local staff “ he continued.  “We anticipate a seamless transition as CJD take on the Dealerships in Tasmania”.

The Tasmanian transport industry will now have direct access to local sales and service support for both Kenworth and DAF trucks at two CJD locations in Launceston and Hobart, and AJL’s parts and service facility in Burnie.

CJD’s newly opened flagship in Hobart at 60 Crooked Billet Drive, Bridgewater will become the trucking hub of Hobart and features full state of the art sales, finance, parts and service facilities.

As Alan Barnett, Dealer Principal, explained “We have invested a great deal in our facilities in Tasmania to ensure we can provide the best available support for all our customers”

Kenworth is market leader in heavy duty trucks in Australia with trucks designed and manufactured here to meet some of the world’s toughest applications. Kenworth trucks are also exported to Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. PACCAR Australia, the manufacturer of Kenworth trucks, also distributes the DAF range of medium and heavy duty trucks imported from Europe.
