Engines
With a choice of world class Cummins’ engines, you can fine-tune your truck to suit your specific application, thanks to a range of horsepower and torque ratings.
Cooling
Take on some of the world’s toughest conditions. You’ll find silicon coolant hoses and constant torque charge air cooler and coolant hose clamps. Radiator cores are ultrafuse-welded, cross-braced and housed in long-lasting steel frames.
Drivetrain
Pick from the wide range of heavy-duty transmissions and axles our high quality suppliers offer and specify the right drivetrain for your best on-road and commercial performance.
Fuel tanks
Tailor-made tanks mean more options to refuel where you want to, saving time and money. We offer various capacities and configurations, and offer crossflow taps, insulated mountings, non-slip steps and more.
Heavy-duty drivelines
Our driveline specs are some of the industry’s best. We use 1810 series tubing with a 4.57 mm wall thickness for main drivelines and durability. For engines with torque of 2050 lb/ft or more, we have SPL250 tubing.
Front suspensions
Choose from constant rate tapered leaf springs or multi-leaf springs at different load ratings for the right balance. We match front and rear suspension specifications to best suit your handling needs.
Rear axle suspensions
Our eight air bag AIRGLIDE suspension is great for anything from carrying produce to fuel haul. For mining, roadtrain and some off-highway applications, there’s our six-rod KW6-60A suspension - low maintenance and with legendary longevity.
Chassis frame layout
We place components so loads are evenly spread, making the most of your Kenworth’s strength, balance and fuel tank capacity. Battery boxes are positioned to make starting easy. Our rails are high tensile, heat-treated - and designed to maximise fuel capacity for your wheelbase.
